Cardiac Physiologists
Michael Blenkin
| Michael is the Deputy Manager of the Cardiology Department (Invasive) at the London Bridge Hospital. He completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology) Degree at the University of Queensland, and has worked in Hospitals both in Australia and the UK, joining London Bridge Hospital in 2008 as a Cardiac Physiologist. Whilst he has a broad range of knowledge throughout Cardiology, Michael has specialised in Invasive Cardiology, and has a particular interest in Cardiac Electrophysiology. He has studied extensively within this field, having undertaken comprehensive clinical training as well as attending a number of international conferences during recent years. Michael is also a member of the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners, and has been awarded Allied Professional accreditation as a Certified Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist. | ![]() |
Olga Vojvodicova

Olga Vojvodicova is Chief Cardiac Physiologist in London Bridge Hospital. She graduated with Bachelor Degree in Sanitary Engineering from Medical Faculty at Charles University in Prague and a Master Degree in Medical Management from Palacky University in Olomouc (Czech Republic). She has undertaken variety of training and certification courses in electrophysiology and pacing. She has a wide experience in all aspects in non invasive and interventional cardiology but mainly specialises in Electrophysiology. Most recently she has completed IBHRE exams in cardiac electrophysiology. |
Nick Pfeffer
| Nick Pfeffer is a Cardiac Physiologist in the Cardiology Department at London Bridge Hospital. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science (Vice Chancellors Award) from Bond University in Australia. He has undertaken a variety of courses and training in non-invasive and invasive cardiology. Nick’s specialist interests are in Cardiac Catheterisation and Cardiac Electrophysiology. Nick is due to take his IBHRE examination in 2011. | ![]() |
Leonette Roode

Leonette Roode is a Cardiac Physiologist in the Cardiology Department at London Bridge Hospital. She graduated with an Honours Degree in Exercise Science and Biokinetics from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and a Bachelors Degree in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) from City of Westminster College, London. She has undertaken a variety of courses and training in non-invasive and invasive cardiology. Leonette’s specialist interests are in the cardiac catheterisation laboratory and electrophysiology. Leonette is due to take her IBHRE examination in 2011. |
